Return & Refund Policy

At homentools.com, operated by SC HomenTools SRL, customer satisfaction is our priority. We understand that sometimes a product may not meet your expectations. This Return and Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which you may return products and request a refund.

By placing an order on our website, you agree to the terms of this Return and Refund Policy. Please read it carefully before making a purchase.

1. Right of Withdrawal (14-Day Cooling-Off Period)

In accordance with Romanian consumer protection legislation (OG 34/2014, implementing EU Directive 2011/83/EU), you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 calendar days from the date you receive the product, without providing any reason.

To exercise this right, you must notify us of your decision to return the product by contacting us via email at contact@homentools.com or by phone at +40 783645952 within the 14-day period. You must then return the product within 14 days of notifying us.

2. Return Eligibility

To be eligible for a return and refund, the following conditions must be met:

  • The return request must be submitted within 14 calendar days of receiving the product.
  • The product must be unused, undamaged, and in its original condition.
  • The product must be in its original packaging with all tags, labels, accessories, manuals, and protective materials intact.
  • You must provide a valid proof of purchase (order confirmation email or invoice).

3. Non-Returnable Items

The following products are not eligible for return under the right of withdrawal, unless they are defective or damaged upon arrival:

  • Products that have been used, assembled, installed, or altered after delivery.
  • Products with broken seals or removed protective packaging where the seal is necessary for hygiene or safety reasons.
  • Custom-made or personalized products manufactured to your specific requirements.
  • Products that have been mixed or combined with other items after delivery and cannot be separated.
Important: If a returned product is received in a condition that does not meet the above eligibility criteria, we reserve the right to decline the return or apply a restocking fee of up to 25% of the product's value to cover diminished value.

4. How to Initiate a Return

To start the return process, please follow these steps:

  1. Contact Us: Send an email to contact@homentools.com with the subject line "Return Request – [Your Order Number]." Include your order number, the product(s) you wish to return, and the reason for the return.
  2. Receive Confirmation: Our customer support team will review your request and respond within 2 business days with return authorization and instructions, including the return shipping address.
  3. Pack the Product: Carefully repack the product in its original packaging. Ensure the product is securely packed to prevent damage during transit.
  4. Ship the Product: Send the product to the address provided using a trackable shipping method. We recommend keeping the shipping receipt and tracking number for your records.
  5. Inspection and Processing: Once we receive the returned product, our team will inspect it within 3 – 5 business days. You will be notified by email once the return has been processed.

5. Return Shipping Costs

If you are returning a product under the 14-day right of withdrawal (i.e., you simply changed your mind), the return shipping costs are your responsibility.

If the return is due to a defective, damaged, or incorrectly shipped product on our part, we will cover the return shipping costs. Please contact us before shipping so we can arrange or reimburse the return delivery.

6. Refund Processing

Once your return has been received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. Approved refunds will be processed as follows:

7. Defective or Damaged Products

If you receive a product that is defective, damaged during shipping, or different from what you ordered, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery. Provide the following information:

  • Your order number.
  • A clear description of the defect, damage, or discrepancy.
  • Photographs of the damaged or defective product and packaging.

Upon verification, we will offer you one of the following solutions at no additional cost to you:

  • A replacement product shipped to you free of charge.
  • A full refund, including original and return shipping costs.

8. Product Warranty

All products sold on homentools.com come with a legal warranty of 24 months from the date of delivery, as required by Romanian law. The warranty covers manufacturing defects and faults that arise under normal use conditions.

The warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, neglect, unauthorized modifications, normal wear and tear, or failure to follow product usage instructions.

To make a warranty claim, please contact us at contact@homentools.com with your order number, a description of the issue, and supporting photographs if applicable.

9. Exchanges

We currently do not offer direct product exchanges. If you wish to exchange a product for a different item, please return the original product following the return process outlined above and place a new order for the desired item on our website.

10. Late or Missing Refunds

If you have not received your refund within the expected timeframe after receiving our refund confirmation email, please take the following steps:

  • Check your bank account or payment provider account again, as processing times may vary.
  • Contact your bank or credit card company, as it may take additional time for the refund to be officially posted.
